week 15 - BC2

Week 15 - I have felt little flutters on occasion.  Usually when I'm sitting being still.  Beca says she can feel the baby moving but I know she can't and let her believe it anyway.  Some things are not worth discussing and trying to change her mind on.
Babycenter's notes about this week:
Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds.

And while we possibly could see what the gender is (the above paragraph uses he/she on alternate weeks), our ultrasound to really see this isn't for another three weeks.  Then we'll know and I can get started on the nursery.  Beca is still insistent she's getting a baby brother.
So the whole end of first trimester you should feel better thing is not 100% for me.  I definitely have longer stretches of good but ugh, the bad feeling times are still pretty miserable.  The weather fronts are not helping.  The banana split with chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, mini chocolate chips, and cherries on top does help a little.  Zoe thinks so too and will stalk me intently until the bowl is on the floor for her to lick.  crazy puppy.  she's being very protective of me too.  and she'll be 7 next week!
